Student Accommodation

The “Res” at Total Concept Academy is in 7th Avenue Newton Park just a 5 minute stroll from the campus in Pickering Street and just around the corner from shops and restaurants.

Here our students, who are mostly from out-of-town, have accommodation on contract for 11 months from mid January to mid December, coinciding with our academic year.

For students who have not been away from home before, the “Res” is ideal. Here students have their independence yet are required to live according to set rules regarding behaviour. The rules and the facilities are designed to encourage study and because all the tenants are girls from the Academy, they are able to support and help each other with studies outside the classroom. A spare therapy bed is provided for practical work practice.

Each of the 11 bedrooms is furnished with built-in cupboards, bed, wall mirror, bookshelf, desk and chair. There are 3 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry and a lounge with suite, TV etc. The garden is ideal for entertainment with a built in braai and car parking area.

There is 24 hour security cover and each room has it’s own alarm control and panic button. The house also has an alarm which is set when the house is vacated. A security gate covers the front door and the property perimeter is protected by electrified fencing.

Garden maintenance, security, maid’s cleaning services, water, rates and municipal services are included in the rental price. Tenants are responsible for metered electricity consumption.
